Chargers split at El Camino Quad

Flores' 15 kills vs
El Camino propels the win
Torrance, CA - The Chargers (1-3) goes into the El Camino Quad facing a strong Pasadena City in the opening game. The Lancers return three All-Conference players all stand 6-foot or taller, Jackie Acosta, Megan Callen and Janise Joseph. The Chargers get the best out of Ashley Crawford with 6 kills and Yesenia Pacheco with 8 digs on the defensive end but the Lancers prevail 19-25, 18-25, 12-25.

In the second game, the Chargers face another tough foe, the host team El Camino. The Warriors have not lost a set in their previous outings. Cypress comes out charging and out dueling the Warriors in an exciting 5-set match, 25-22, 15-25, 25-16, 16-25, 15-13.  Ashley Flores contribute 15 kills, Crawford with 16 kills while on the defensive side Marianne Tapales leads the team with 17 digs and Pacheco adds 14.

The Chargers are coming home to host Grossmont on Wednesday.
