Chargers play close in season opening games

Pasadena, CA - The Lady Charger Volleyball open the 2012-13 season the Pasadena Quad. Playing close against a strong Mt SAC team in the opening game, Cypress get 10 kills from Ashley Flores while Ashley Crawford contributes 7 kills and 7 digs. The effort is short as the Chargers fall to the Mounties 1-3 (13-25, 18-25, 25-18, 23-25.)

In the second game against another strong Santa Barbara City team, the Chargers stay tight and force a 5-set game. Crawford comes up with 16 kills but the effort fall short in a losing cause to the Vaqueros 2-3 (20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-16, 9-15.)  Crawford ends the day with 23 kills and 16 digs, Kayla Pace has 14 kills and Jen Porter with 16 digs.
