Chargers come up in 5th at San Diego Tournament

San Diego, CA - The Chargers go on their final pre-conference trip to participate at the annual San Diego City Tournament. The Chargers play exceptionally well defeating Mt. SAC 2-0, Cuyamaca 2-0, Arizona Western 2-1 and loses to Chaffey 1-2. In the playoffs the Chargers fall to South Mountain in a single elimination match 18-25.  The effort has the Chargers in 5th place of the tournament and get in tune for conference play. For the tournament, Setter Shannon Tucker has 31 assists, Middleblocker Heather Crowell has 24 kills and Libero Marianne Tapales has 26 digs to lead the team.

The Chargers open conference play against Saddleback at home on September 28.
